Globalization, along with its social changes, has resulted in increased migration due to conflict, disaster, and socioeconomic disparities. Cities are now multicultural, making language both a key part of identity and a significant barrier for migrants. This artwork introduces and explores the weaponization of language in society, highlighting the pervasive influence of xenophobia in societal interactions, particularly in a region where migration has been a cornerstone of growth and development since the discovery of oil. Together, these elements create an abstract narrative on the complexities of language and invite viewers to contemplate the power dynamics at play.
