Omnia Elamir (b. 1996) is an Egyptian Bahraini artist whose work spans assemblage, sculpture, text, and image. Her practice explores domesticity, language, memory, and the lived experience of gendered and cultural structures. Drawing from personal history and social critique, she reconfigures everyday, repurposed materials into charged objects that confront systems of control, violence, and the quiet scripts that shape identity. Omnia is particularly interested in questioning norms and their historical and psychological implications within today’s global landscape, especially in the Gulf. Across her work, she stages intimate, politically layered encounters that blur the line between private memory and collective history—inviting viewers to see their own stories reflected in her work. Through her art practice, she aims to understand and reveal the timeless conditions of being alive. She holds a BA in Visual Design and is based in Bahrain.
